Have You Ever Been So Broke You Asked A Friend To Borrow Money?
“Dude, I will literally give you collateral; I’ll give you my watches. I think I have some studio equipment here. Please loan me $1,000 just to get through this month. I promise I'll give it back to you in 60 days or when spring breaks. I'm so scared right now. Please, dude, I promise you. Please…”
Is this something you've heard before? Have you ever felt you were about to lose your mind because of your situation?
Rather than wax poetic, I would like to share the real story of how I started a window cleaning business during the middle of the winter, had an eviction notice on my door, and was contacted by debt collectors when I was barely able to keep the phone on. The experience was terrifying, but with the assistance of a friend, I found a way out. It is now my pleasure to be that friend for you.
This episode will teach you a few things. Don't underestimate the importance of taking action because no one will do it for you.
“You got to go out there with a level of enthusiasm called positive expectancy… that you won’t take no for an answer. He who has the most certainty wins."

Why do you have to listen to today's episode.
00:11 – “I was so scared, and I felt like I was at the end of my rope; had no other options….”
Have you ever been so broke and scared in your head that you started looking for people you think could lend you money? Well, guess what? Me, too. I’ve gone through the same.
02:19 – “As soon as I read that text message, it was the type of brotherly love that I needed at that moment. It was the knife that cut, and it hurt. But it cut to the truth; it was the truth.”
As soon as I received my friend’s message, I swear, that was the defining moment. That was when I got the courage to go out there and fearlessly face my life’s bully.
04:24 – “When you hone in on what you want, you will literally walk through fire to get it; you will do anything.”
When a lion hunts a gazelle, a shift happens in the brain, where it focuses only on one gazelle – it’s the goal. Be that lion, and you’ll be able to walk through fire to get what you want.
05:25 – “You got to go out there with a level of enthusiasm called positive expectancy… that you won’t take no for an answer. He who has the most certainty wins.”
I went out there, searching for small business opportunities, but I got rejected in my first attempts at window cleaning. Then, I realized why breaking patterns and getting people’s attention is needed. Keep on reappearing, and you’ll win.
09:05 – “It’s a demon in a cage, and it’s always at the bottom, underneath the steps, waiting for you to mess up so it can run you up.”
When you’re alone and afraid, being out there on your own, but you know, and you see it working, you can get through the night of the soul. You can get through these terrifying times.
10:48 – “The path is narrow, and the gate is very small, and you got to just stand that straight narrow.”
Keep your ass on the straight and narrow, as Napoleon Hill says in his book, “Outwitting the Devil.”
