I’m having a Conscious Breakthrough about Residual Income – The Story of the Pipeline
The question is, how can we become the successful entrepreneurs we've always wanted to be in a world where negativity is rife?
Taking years to finally understand what Burke Hedges was trying to say in his book, Parable of the Pipeline, changed my life forever. After going broke to becoming a millionaire in the same way Pablo did, I am now starting to reap the rewards of my efforts. This is the story I would like to share with you today, hoping to inspire you also while reminding you that it happens in time.
“All you really need is more time; that’s all. Just keep doing what you're doing, and eventually, you'll see it start to happen for you.” – Keith Kalfas
Why do you have to listen to today's episode.
00:00 – “Robert Kiyosaki was right. In his book Rich Dad Poor Dad, he told the story of a famous book by Burke Hedges called the Parable of the Pipeline.”
I’m having an epiphany about success. Today, we’ll talk about the Parable of the Pipeline.
00:47 – “Life-changing book… I read the whole book in one evening. I couldn’t stop reading it.”
Here’s a quick summary of the Parable of the Pipeline’s story. Discover Pablo’s genius in building and investing in a pipeline – his way to get rich.
05:02 – “Even if it’s just a little bit after work and on the weekends, instead of doing whatever else you do, become an implementer and get around other people who are building pipelines.”
Talking about pipeline building vs. bucket carrying and what Pablo’s life would be like if he’s existing in real life
07:49 – “If you had the time and money to put into it so you could snowball it faster, the way to do it is by putting more time and more money into these models…”
What if you got some really powerful information that could financially change your life, but you’re coming into high season, and you’re getting all that overtime?
10:11 – “It’s a long, hard road, this wedge in here, to get that thing going because you have to do this here, you have to do this for now.”
Those who have been in the game for so long can already generate success in a snap, but if you’re just starting out, you’ll have to travel a very long path.
11:02 – “I'll be on the phone with him, venting about my frustrations about it not happening fast enough, not becoming successful fast enough, and here's what I always hear every time…”
As a friend of mine says, the truth is we just need more time. Eventually, you’ll see it happen for you.
Key Takeaways
“Even if it’s just a little bit after work and on the weekends, instead of doing whatever else you do, become an implementer and get around other people who are building pipelines.”
“And you really don't have a choice because you can't bet on that, you can't bet on all these residual income streams, making you money right away (1) because you've never actually seen it hit your bank account in real life, and (2) you don't know just because it worked for them if it's going to work for you, and even if it's going to, it's probably not going to happen fast enough before you end up going underwater and going bankrupt, or you don't even have the money to fund all this yet.”
“It’s a long, hard road, this wedge in here, to get that thing going because you have to do this here, you have to do this for now.”
