Join us today as we collab to inspire you as we share how fulfilling it actually is to live life with a passionately driven mind.

Better known as Sean G, Sean Gunby is an entrepreneur, author, and coach. He hosts “The Podcast with Soul,” where he shares personal stories to reach hearts and start a change in people’s lives. When he was 45, Sean was sent to federal prison, where he lived two whole years of his life. So when he got out, he knew he needed to make a fresh start.

“I never quit. I never gave in. I knew that as long as I kept going, I was going to be alright. I was going to be able to make it all. It was rough, and there were days that I really didn’t want to do it, but I kept going, and I didn’t stop. And it paid off.”

Why do you have to listen to today’s episode?

02:37 – A bright life will always find its way down the drain when its means aren’t right, but at some point, it will lead you towards enlightenment that will trigger a new start.

05:40 – There will always be people who will laugh at you for your downfall. Don’t let them define who you are. You own your life.

08:16 – You can go from complete misery towards a life with a continuous blessings flow. Trust yourself and work it out. Believe that you’re worthy of the prize.

12:13 – The journey towards your greatest self won’t be easy. It will hurt you to your limits ‘til you no longer have a choice but to gather the strength to fight back.

14:02 – Find genuine ways to cope with the stress of a new life. By doing so, you can help yourself and those who are around.

17:02 – Taking things for granted can damage you deep into your soul. Have eyes on how small things matter. Leave a heartfelt legacy in this world.

20:12 – Every day, you gotta get up and live your life. Excuses will bring you no light.

Key Takeaways

“I walked around in my same hometown and motherfuckers looking at me, laughing, but I couldn’t afford to let that get in my dome. I couldn’t afford to let that impact what I thought about myself and what I had to do for my life.”

“There’s nothing better than owning your own time and having the freedom of choice.”

“Listen. Sometimes, you got to crash and burn in order to get introduced to your greatest self.”

“I don’t make no videos if it’s not on my heart because what comes from the heart reaches the heart.”

“The small stuff is what counts, man. I don’t let HBO influence me. I don’t let Instagram influence me. I don’t let Hollywood movies [influence me]. I deal with reality, man. My religion is reality.”

“If you want pure gold, you take the gold, and you put it into a dross. A dross is a hot furnace and the heat that burns out all the impurities, so when you pull the gold out, you got pure gold with no impurities. So, it’s that heat.”
